Encantado Technical Solutions is currently seeking Public Cloud Engineer to support an IT Managed Services program for the Department of Energy. The overall program includes a 500+ work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations. The Public Cloud Engineer will provide on-site and off-site  and related support services for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems for National Technology and Engineering Solutions of Sandia (NTESS) with a workforce of approximately 14,000 personnel.

Requirements:

• Experience developing software with object-oriented languages like Java, C++, or Ruby. Extensive knowledge about REST APIs, you know when to use JSON or XML. Experience with cloud services (OpenStack, Azure Stack AWS). Solid understanding of virtual computing and virtualization software (VMware, KVM). A solid understanding of networking, software defined networking and core Internet protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks). Experience with Linux/UNIX systems and the best practices for deploying applications to those stacks. Experience with different databases (Postgres, Casandra, Mongo). Familiar with DevOps principles and methodologies, deployment checklists, and more.     

Education:  BA/BS,  Years of Experience:  4 

Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud). Solid understanding of virtual computing and virtualization software (VMware, KVM).  A solid understanding of networking and software defined networking.  Experience with Linux/UNIX systems and the best practices for deploying applications to those stacks.  Familiar with DevOps principles and methodologies, deployment checklists, and more.  The candidate will deploy Enterprise Public Cloud services and manage Enterprise Public Cloud environments.  On any given dahy you may be called upon to:  Performs the full life-cycle management (analysis, design, development, testing, implantation, integration and maintenance) of Enterprise Public Cloud services.

• Coordinates and interfaces with customers, suppliers and domain experts such as networking, storage, and cyber personnel.
• Provides technical guidance to customers and performs technical work to deploy and/or migrate customer workloads to Public Cloud.
• Selected candidate must be able to quickly learn modern technologies and solve new and complex problems involving the integration of a wide variety if technologies including servers, storage, networking, software, middleware and all systems supporting the Public Cloud environments.
• Hands on experience designing, deploying and managing cloud services through Public Cloud Service Providers such as Microsoft (Azure) and Amazon (AWS).
• Candidate can work remotely but will be required to travel to the customer’s work site several times a year.
